Students of Gulu College of Health Sciences during a Patriotism Development Course in Gulu District

Ethics within healthcare are important because workers must recognize healthcare dilemmas, make good judgments and decisions based on their values while keeping within the laws that govern them.Health practitioners perform hundreds of critical, health-related tasks every day. In some cases, the decisions they must make test their professional and personal morality and on this the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corp Uganda took a step and trained students of Gulu College of  Health Sciences the Values of a patriotic Nurse of Uganda who should care about Ugandans more than them selves. These values help caregivers consider patient needs from several viewpoints and maintain a safe recovery environment. Patriotic values remind caregivers to treat all people equitably and individually, while protecting the privacy rights of patients in ways that may not seem overtly obvious. These recommendations also call on caregivers to advocate and seek justice for those in their care, and to take full responsibility for their work as nurses. This college  cherishes  and organises these trainings  every year because  of their impact in the school  community and Uganda generally.
Generally these trainings are a success because of the combined effort of other stakeholders  in the district, like Rdc,RCC DPC and others who usually  work with us in this noble cause. The National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps Uganda continues to equip several Schools and Institutions about the importance of patriotism in this Country Uganda.
